Mark Jackson was a basketball player and coach who was born on April 1, 1965, in Brooklyn, New York. He started his basketball career at Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School where he quickly gained attention for his superior skills as a point guard. After high school, Jackson went on to play college basketball for St. John’s University where he enjoyed a highly successful career. In 1987, he was drafted by the New York Knicks as the 18th overall pick in the first round. He went on to play 17 seasons in the NBA, playing for a total of 7 different teams, including the Clippers, Nuggets, Pacers, and Warriors. More about Mark Jackson
