Roberto Duran, also known as “Hands of Stone”, is considered one of the greatest boxers of all time. Born in Panama in 1951, Duran began his professional boxing career at the young age of 16. He quickly rose through the ranks, winning his first world championship in 1972 in the lightweight division. Duran's signature style of aggressive fighting earned him a reputation as a fierce competitor. He was known for his relentless punching and tactical footwork, allowing him to outlast opponents in the ring. His most famous fight was against Sugar Ray Leonard in 1980, considered by many to be one the greatest bouts in boxing history. Despite Duran's loss in that fight, he captured the world's attention with his tenacity and skill.

Duran retired in 2002, with a professional record of 103 wins (70 by knockout) and only 16 losses. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2007. Duran's impact on the sport of boxing is undeniable, and his legacy continues to inspire young boxers around the world. He will forever be remembered as one of the greatest fighters of all time.
