Ahmad Rashad Autographs
Ahmad Rashad, born Robert Earl Moore, is a former American football wide receiver who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 10 seasons. Rashad was born on November 19, 1949, in Portland, Oregon, and he attended Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma, Washington. After high school, Rashad played college football at the University of Oregon, where he broke school records for both receiving yards in a season and in a career.
Rashad began his NFL career in 1972 with the St. Louis Cardinals but was traded to the Buffalo Bills after just one season. In 1976, Rashad was traded to the Minnesota Vikings, where he spent the remainder of his career and had his most successful seasons. While with the Vikings, Rashad set a career-high in receiving yards in 1979 with 1,156 yards and was named to four Pro Bowls. Rashad played his final season in 1982 with the Seattle Seahawks before retiring from professional football.
After retiring from football, Rashad began a successful career in broadcasting, working as a sports anchor and commentator for NBC, ABC, and ESPN. Rashad is also known for his personal life, having been married to actress Phylicia Rashad (known for her role on The Cosby Show) and most recently to Sale Johnson, the ex-wife of the Johnson & Johnson heir. Despite his successful broadcasting career and personal life, Rashad is best remembered for his contributions to the NFL and his time as a standout player for the Minnesota Vikings.
