Al Hamilton was born on August 20, 1946, in Flin Flon, Manitoba, Canada. He started his hockey career in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, where he played for three years with the Flin Flon Bombers. Hamilton's impressive performance on the ice caught the attention of the NHL scouts, and in 1966, he was drafted by the New York Rangers in the first round, sixth overall. More about Al Hamilton
