Al Martin was born on November 24, 1967, in West Covina, California. He was an American professional baseball player who played as a left fielder and first baseman for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Seattle Mariners, and San Diego Padres. Martin quickly established himself as a reliable and versatile player. He was a powerful hitter and had a great arm. With the Pirates, Martin set personal records in batting average, home runs, and RBIs. In 1996, Martin was traded to the Seattle Mariners, where he continued to excel in his performance. He contributed significantly to Mariners' success and helped them advance to the American League Championship Series in 2000. Martin retired at the age of 35 in 2003, after playing for the San Diego Padres for a year.

Throughout his career, Al Martin earned numerous accolades, including being named an All-Star in 1996, and winning a Gold Glove award in 1997. He had a career batting average of .276, hit 132 home runs, and had 545 RBIs. He was renowned for his professionalism, dedication, and work ethic, and remains to be a celebrated figure in the baseball community.
