Page played for the Vikings for 11 seasons and was a key member of the team's infamous "Purple People Eaters" defense. He was a six-time All-Pro and a nine-time Pro Bowl selection, and he won the NFL's prestigious Defensive Player of the Year Award in 1971. In 1978, Page was traded to the Chicago Bears, where he played for three seasons before retiring from professional football in 1981.

Off the field, Page pursued a successful legal career, earning a law degree from the University of Minnesota while still playing in the NFL. After retiring from football, he became a judge and served on the Minnesota Supreme Court from 1993 to 2015. His contributions to American football, both on and off the field, have earned him numerous awards and accolades over the years, including induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1988.
