During his time with the Colts, Smith was a dominant force on defense and played a key role in the team's Super Bowl victory in 1971. He was known for his imposing size and physical abilities, and was often considered one of the most intimidating players in the league. After his stint with the Colts, Smith would go on to play for the Oakland Raiders and the Houston Oilers before retiring from the NFL in 1976.

Smith's football career was not limited to the NFL, however. He also played in the All-American Football League, a short-lived league that operated from 1978 to 1983. In 1986, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame, and in 2013, he was posthumously inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame for his contributions to the sport. Smith passed away in 2011 at the age of 66. Read even more about Bubba Smith at Wikipedia
