Bailey played college football at the University of Georgia and was considered one of the best cornerbacks in the country. He was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the first round of the 1999 NFL Draft and quickly established himself as one of the best defensive backs in the league. In 2004, he was traded to the Denver Broncos, where he spent the rest of his career and cemented his legacy as one of the greatest cornerbacks in NFL history.

During his 15-year NFL career, Bailey was selected to twelve Pro Bowls, named First-Team All-Pro three times, and earned a spot on the NFL 2000s All-Decade Team. He was known for his exceptional coverage skills, athleticism, and leadership on and off the field. Bailey announced his retirement from football in October 2014, finishing his career with 52 interceptions, four forced fumbles, and three sacks.
