Chris Cooley was born on July 11, 1982, in Powell, Wyoming, and grew up in Utah. He went to Logan High School, where he excelled in football, basketball, and track and field. Cooley was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the third round of the 2004 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, he played in all 16 games, catching 37 passes and six touchdowns. Cooley quickly became a fan favorite for his versatility and playmaking ability, earning two Pro Bowl selections in 2007 and 2008. He played nine seasons for the Redskins, finishing his career with 429 receptions, 4,711 receiving yards, and 33 touchdowns.

Cooley retired from football in 2013 but has remained active in the NFL community, working as a color commentator for Redskins games and hosting a podcast on SiriusXM NFL Radio. He was also inducted into the Logan High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2017, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest football players to come out of Utah.
