In 2004, Portis was traded to the Washington Redskins, where he played for an additional seven seasons. During his time with the Redskins, Portis was a three-time Pro Bowl selection and was considered one of the league's top running backs. He is also known for his iconic "Art Monk" and "Sheriff Gonna Getcha" touchdown celebrations, which became fan favorites in Washington. Portis retired from football in 2012 after a successful career that spanned nearly a decade.

Despite his impressive statistics and memorable celebrations, Portis' career was not without controversy. In 2019, he pleaded guilty to defrauding the NFL's healthcare program, resulting in a sentence of six months of home detention and a fine of $7,750. Despite this setback, Portis remains a beloved figure in the football world and is remembered as one of the most talented running backs of his era. Read even more about Clinton Portis at Wikipedia
