Corey Liuget is one of the prominent defensive tackles in the National Football League (NFL) from the United States. Born on March 18, 1990, in Miami, Florida, Liuget attended Hialeah Senior High School, where he started playing football. He was a standout defensive lineman, recording 72 tackles, nine sacks, and two forced fumbles during his senior year. Liuget's impressive performance led to his selection as a first-team All-Dade County defensive tackle and the Miami Herald's 2007 Miami-Dade County Defensive Player of the Year. In 2010, Liuget started in all 13 games at defensive tackle, finishing the season with 63 tackles, 12.5 tackles-for-loss, 4.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles.
