DeMarco Murray is a former American football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons. He was born on February 12, 1988, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and attended Bishop Gorman High School. During his high school football career, Murray was a top-ranked recruit and earned numerous accolades, including the 2005 Sunset Region Offensive Player of the Year. In the 2011 NFL Draft, Murray was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the third round. He quickly established himself as a valuable player, setting a franchise record with 253 rushing yards in a game against the St. Louis Rams in his rookie season.
