Derrick Thomas was an American football player who was known for his extraordinary defensive skills. He initially started his journey at the University of Alabama, where he played football for the Crimson Tide from 1985 to 1988. He broke the NCAA record for sacks in a single game, recording seven sacks against Texas A&M in 1988. With his remarkable performance, he was selected for the All-America team in his senior year.
