Jeff George was drafted as the first overall pick by the Indianapolis Colts in the 1990 NFL Draft. He played for the Colts from 1990 to 1993 before moving on to play for several teams including the Atlanta Falcons, Oakland Raiders, Minnesota Vikings, and Washington Redskins. George's best season came in 1997 when he threw for 3,917 passing yards and 29 touchdowns with the Oakland Raiders. George was known for his strong arm and ability to throw the deep ball but also criticized for his attitude and lack of consistency.

Despite his impressive arm strength and raw talent, Jeff George's career was marked by controversy and inconsistency. He played for seven different teams in 12 seasons and never led a team to the playoffs during his career. However, George left a lasting legacy in the league with his impressive statistics, particularly his career total of 27,602 passing yards and 154 touchdowns. Today, George is recognized as one of the most talented quarterbacks of his generation, but his career will always be marked by the question of what could have been.
