During his ten-year tenure with the Raiders, Madden led his team to seven division championships and one Super Bowl title. His teams were known for their aggressive and physical style of play, which led them to be regarded as one of the most feared teams in the league. Madden's success as a coach earned him a reputation as one of the best coaches in football history. In recognition of his achievements, Madden was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006.
