Matt Ryan is an American football quarterback who currently plays for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). Born on May 17, 1985, in Exton, Pennsylvania, Ryan began playing football in his high school years, where he excelled as a quarterback. He continued to play football at Boston College, where he set numerous school records and earned the nickname "Matty Ice" for his clutch performances in late-game situations. In 2008, Ryan was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons as the third overall pick in the first round of the NFL draft.
Ryan has spent his entire professional career with the Falcons, becoming one of the most successful quarterbacks in franchise history. He has led the team to numerous playoff appearances, including a Super Bowl appearance in 2016. Throughout his career, Ryan has earned numerous accolades, including four Pro Bowl selections, an NFL Most Valuable Player (MVP) award, and the NFL Offensive Player of the Year award.
Ryan is known for his accuracy and decision-making on the field, as well as his leadership off the field. He has become one of the most respected quarterbacks in the NFL, earning the respect of his teammates, coaches, and fans.
