Drew Doughty is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman who currently plays for the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was born in London, Ontario, on December 8, 1989, and started playing organized hockey at the age of four. Doughty's hockey career began to take off in junior hockey, where he was recognized as one of the best defensemen in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) playing for the Guelph Storm. Doughty quickly became a cornerstone player for the Kings, where he has played for over a decade.
