Kris Draper is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player, who played 20 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL). Draper was born on May 24, 1971, in Toronto, Ontario, and began his professional career in 1989 when he was drafted by the Winnipeg Jets. Draper is best known for his time with the Detroit Red Wings, where he spent 17 seasons and played an integral role in their success during the late 1990s and early 2000s.
