Kris Versteeg is a former NHL player who was born on May 13, 1986 in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. He began his hockey career in the Western Hockey League (WHL) playing for the Lethbridge Hurricanes where he played for three seasons. Versteeg was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the 5th round of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, but he played his first NHL game for the Chicago Blackhawks in 2007. He played with the Blackhawks for three seasons and won the Stanley Cup with them in 2010. He later played for teams such as the Toronto Maple Leafs, Carolina Hurricanes, Calgary Flames, and Philadelphia Flyers before retiring in 2019. Throughout his NHL career, he played in 643 games and scored 149 goals and 209 assists for a total of 358 points.

Overall, Kris Versteeg had a successful hockey career, both at the junior and professional levels. He was known for his offensive skills and ability to score goals, but he was also valued for his versatility and ability to play at all three forward positions.
