Will Bruin is a retired American soccer player who had a successful career playing in the Major League Soccer (MLS) for ten seasons. He was born on October 24, 1989, in St. Louis, Missouri. After his college career, Bruin was drafted by the Houston Dynamo in the first round of the 2011 MLS SuperDraft. He spent his first six seasons of his professional career with the Dynamo, where he became a fan favorite and a prolific goal scorer. During his time with the Dynamo, Bruin scored 50 goals in 159 appearances and helped the team reach the MLS Cup final in 2011 and 2012. In 2017, Bruin joined the Seattle Sounders, where he played for three seasons, scoring 24 goals in 89 appearances and helping the team win the 2019 MLS Cup. Bruin retired from professional soccer in November 2020, after playing 267 MLS games and scoring 72 goals in his career.
Bruin also represented the United States men's national team at the under-23 and senior level. He earned his first senior national team call-up in January 2013 but never made a full international appearance for the USMNT. Despite not making an appearance for the national team, Bruin had a memorable professional career, where he became one of the most consistent and reliable goal scorers in the league.
