Mike Quick is a retired American football wide receiver who played in the National Football League from 1982 to 1990. He was born on May 14, 1959, in Hamlet, North Carolina, and attended Fork Union Military Academy before playing college football at North Carolina State University. During his time in the NFL, Quick was considered one of the league's top receivers. He was a five-time Pro Bowler and two-time First-team All-Pro selection. He also earned the Bert Bell Award in 1985 as the NFL's Player of the Year, which is voted on by the members of the Maxwell Club. Quick's best season came in 1983 when he caught 69 passes for 1,409 yards and 13 touchdowns. He finished his career with 363 receptions for 6,464 yards and 61 touchdowns.
Following his retirement from football, Quick became a television analyst for the Eagles' preseason games, as well as a radio analyst for the team's regular-season games. He was inducted into the Philadelphia Eagles Hall of Fame in 1995, and in 2018, he was named one of the top 100 players in franchise history. Quick's impact on the Eagles organization was so significant that the team created a new award in his name, which is given annually to the team's top wide receiver.
