Ali's professional career kicked off with a bang, winning his first 19 fights, including 15 by knockout. In 1964, at the age of 22, Ali won the World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Sonny Liston in a major upset. The next year, Ali solidified his standing as one of the all-time greats by defeating former champion Floyd Patterson via a 12th-round TKO. Throughout his career, Ali became known for his showmanship in and out of the ring. One of his most iconic moments came in 1967 when he refused to be drafted into the Vietnam War, citing his religious beliefs as a reason for not wanting to fight. He was stripped of his championship title and did not fight for almost four years. However, he eventually returned to the ring in 1970 and went on to become the first fighter to win the heavyweight title three times, solidifying his status as a legend in the sport of boxing.

Many boxing experts regard Muhammad Ali as one of the best boxers of all time. His boxing achievements include 56 victories, 37 of which were won by knockout, and only 5 losses. Besides his impressive record, Ali's unique fighting style made him one of the most entertaining and recognizable boxers in history. In 1974, Ali famously defeated George Foreman in the legendary "Rumble in the Jungle" fight, a fight in which Ali used his trademark "rope-a-dope" strategy to tire Foreman out before delivering the knockout punch. Ali's impressive boxing skills, combined with his outspoken personality and controversial opinions, made him a cultural and social icon during his time, and his legacy remains a vital part of the boxing world.
