A.B. "Happy" Chandler was a prominent figure in the world of baseball, serving as the commissioner of MLB from 1945 to 1951. Born on July 14, 1898, in Corydon, Kentucky, Chandler was a talented athlete in his youth, playing basketball and baseball in high school.
