Davey Allison was an American NASCAR driver who was born on February 25, 1961, in Hueytown, Alabama. He was the son of the famous NASCAR driver, Bobby Allison, and the younger brother of NASCAR driver, Clifford Allison. Allison had his breakthrough season in 1991 when he won a career-high five races, including the Daytona 500, and finished in the top five 18 times. He was one of the most dominant drivers of that season and finished second in the championship standings behind Dale Earnhardt. He followed this up with another successful season in 1992, where he won three races and finished fourth in the championship standings.
