Edward Paul Glynn (born June 3, 1953) is an American former professional baseball player. He was a left-handed pitcher who worked in 175 Major League games, all but eight in relief, over ten seasons (1975–1983; 1985) for the Detroit Tigers, New York Mets, Cleveland Indians and Montreal Expos. Glynn stood 6 feet 2 inches (1.88 m) tall and weighed 180 pounds (82 kg). He is one of the few players in the history of the Mets who grew up in the neighborhood where the team has played since 1964, Flushing, Queens. When Glynn was a student at Francis Lewis High School, he sold hot dogs at Shea Stadium during Mets' games in the late 1960s and early 1970s. As a result, when he later played for the Mets at Shea, the team honored him in a pre-game ceremony in which he was presented with an official Shea Stadium hot dog. More about Ed Glynn
