Bill Ripken is a former Major League Baseball (MLB) infielder who played for the Baltimore Orioles, Texas Rangers, Cleveland Indians, and Detroit Tigers. Born on December 16, 1964, in Havre de Grace, Maryland, Bill is the younger brother of Hall of Fame infielder Cal Ripken Jr. and the son of former MLB manager and coach, Cal Ripken Sr. More about Bill Ripken

Bill started his professional baseball career in 1982 when he was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 11th round of the amateur draft. He made his MLB debut in 1987 and played for the Orioles until 1992. During his time with the Orioles, Bill played mostly as a second baseman and shortstop.
