Danny Heep, born on July 3, 1957, in San Antonio, Texas, is a retired American professional baseball player who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for 13 seasons. Heep spent most of his career as an outfielder and pinch hitter with several different teams, including the Astros, the New York Mets, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the Boston Red Sox. He earned his first World Series championship in 1986 while playing for the Mets, in which he batted .400 as a pinch hitter during the series. Heep's career batting average was .257, and he hit 23 home runs.

After his playing career finished, Heep remained involved in baseball by working as a coach at the college and professional levels. He also founded the Danny Heep Baseball Camp in the Houston area to teach young players the fundamentals of the game.
