Jackson made his debut in the majors in 2003, pitching for the Dodgers. He was then traded to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in 2006, where he had his breakthrough season in 2008. That year, he pitched a no-hitter against the Arizona Diamondbacks, becoming the second-youngest pitcher to accomplish the feat in MLB history.
