Gil Hodges is a legendary name when it comes to baseball. Born on April 4th, 1924, in Princeton, Indiana, Hodges' career in baseball began when he was just 18 years old. He started playing baseball for the Brooklyn Dodgers in the year 1943. Hodges was primarily known as a first baseman and played for Dodgers for a period of 12 years until 1957.
