Jackie Hernandez was a Puerto Rican baseball player who was born on November 11, 1940. He began his professional baseball career in 1959 when he started playing for the Montreal Royals. He was then signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates and made his major league debut on August 2, 1965. The highlight of his career came in 1971 when he helped the Pirates win the World Series against the Baltimore Orioles.
