Keiichi Yabu Autograph

Keiichi Yabu is a retired Japanese baseball player. Born on January 17th, 1968 in Kumamoto, Japan, Yabu began his baseball career in high school. He later went on to play for the Nippon Professional Baseball league where he spent 14 seasons with the Osaka Kintetsu Buffaloes, the Hanshin Tigers, and the Chiba Lotte Marines. Yabu’s impressive performance in the Nippon Professional Baseball league caught the attention of Major League Baseball scouts. In 2005, he was invited by the Oakland Athletics to play in the United States. Yabu became the 10th Japanese-born pitcher to play in Major League Baseball. He played for the Athletics for one season before joining the San Francisco Giants in 2006. Yabu remained with the Giants for two seasons before returning to Japan to play for the Chiba Lotte Marines.

Throughout his career, Yabu was known for his dedication to the sport and his incredible skills on the field. He retired from baseball in 2012 after a successful career that spanned over 20 years. He has since been actively involved in baseball and has been coaching young players in Japan. His legacy in the sport continues to inspire players and fans around the world.
