Reed Johnson is a highly respected former professional baseball outfielder, who played for several teams in the Major League Baseball (MLB) during his career. He was born on December 8, 1976, in Riverside, California and was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 17th round of the 1999 MLB Draft. Johnson spent two seasons with the Cubs, where he had an impressive batting average of .317 in 2008. He also contributed to the Cubs' historic 2008 season when the team won the National League Central Division championship. Johnson continued his baseball career with several other teams including the Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves, Miami Marlins, and Washington Nationals. Throughout his baseball career, Reed Johnson was known for his excellent fielding skills and was often used as a pinch hitter due to his ability to hit against left-handed pitchers.

In total, Johnson amassed a .279 batting average, hitting 65 home runs, and 377 runs batted in (RBIs) throughout his fourteen-year career in the MLB. He retired from professional baseball in 2015 but has remained involved in the sport through various coaching positions.
