Danny Kanell was born on November 21, 1973, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He is a former American football quarterback who played six seasons in the National Football League (NFL). Born into a family of football enthusiasts, Danny developed an early passion for playing the sport. He played college football for Florida State University and led the team to bowl victories in the Orange Bowl and the Sugar Bowl. From 1997 to 1999, Danny served as the backup quarterback for the Giants, learning from several veteran quarterbacks, including Dave Brown and Kent Graham. In 1997, he played in the Pro Bowl as an alternate, following an impressive performance against the Tennessee Oilers, in which he threw four touchdown passes. In 1999, he signed with the Atlanta Falcons, where he became the starting quarterback. He played for the Falcons until 2001, earning the nickname "D-Kan" for his impressive offensive skills.
