JaMarcus Russell is a former American football quarterback who was born on August 9, 1985, in Mobile, Alabama. He attended Lillie B. Williamson High School, where he excelled in various sports, including basketball, football, and track. Russell is best known for his outstanding college football career at Louisiana State University, where he led the Tigers to a national championship victory in 2007. During his college career, Russell recorded 52 touchdown passes and more than 6,000 passing yards, making him one of the most sought-after quarterbacks in the 2007 NFL draft.
