Jevon Kearse is a former American football defensive end who played for 11 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He was born on September 3, 1976, in Fort Myers, Florida, and attended the University of Florida, where he played college football for the Florida Gators. Kearse was known for his exceptional speed and athleticism, earning him the nickname "The Freak." He was selected by the Tennessee Titans with the 16th overall pick in the 1999 NFL Draft. Kearse made an immediate impact in his rookie season with the Titans, earning the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award.
