Jevon Kearse is a former American football defensive end who played for 11 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He was born on September 3, 1976, in Fort Myers, Florida, and attended the University of Florida, where he played college football for the Florida Gators. Kearse was known for his exceptional speed and athleticism, earning him the nickname "The Freak." He was selected by the Tennessee Titans with the 16th overall pick in the 1999 NFL Draft. Kearse made an immediate impact in his rookie season with the Titans, earning the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award. He went on to have a successful career as a defensive end, playing for the Titans for four seasons before signing with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2004. Kearse continued to be a dominant force on the field, earning Pro Bowl honors in 2004 and 2005.

Injuries hampered Kearse's career in his later years, and he retired from the NFL after the 2009 season. He finished his career with 74 sacks, 374 tackles, and 14 forced fumbles. Kearse left a lasting impact on the league with his incredible speed, athleticism, and tenacity on the field.
