Willie Wood Autograph

Willie Wood was an American football player who became a legend in the sport, particularly in his role as a safety for the Green Bay Packers during the 1960s. Born in 1936 in Washington, DC, Wood began his football career in college at the University of Southern California. However, he was not drafted by any professional team after graduation, so he joined the Canadian Football League in 1959. There, he played for the Calgary Stampeders and won the Grey Cup championship in his second season. In 1960, the Green Bay Packers noticed his talent and signed him to their team. This decision turned out to be one of the best they ever made. More about Willie Wood
