Boeser played college hockey for the University of North Dakota before he was drafted 23rd overall by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut in 2017 and had an impressive rookie season with 29 goals and 26 assists, earning him a spot in the NHL All-Rookie Team.
