Jack Hughes is an American ice hockey player who was born on May 14, 2001, in Orlando, Florida. He grew up playing hockey with his two brothers, Quinn and Luke, and followed in their footsteps by pursuing a career in the sport. Hughes began his hockey career with the Toronto Jr. Canadiens, a youth hockey program in the Greater Toronto Area. He quickly demonstrated his talent on the ice, racking up an impressive 259 points in just 72 games during the 2016-17 season. He went on to play for the U.S. National Development Team, where he continued to excel and was named the United States Hockey League's Player of the Year in 2018.

In 2019, Hughes was selected first overall by the New Jersey Devils in the NHL Entry Draft. He made his debut with the team in October of that year and quickly earned a reputation as one of the best young players in the league. While his rookie season was marred by injuries, he still managed to tally 21 points in 61 games. With his impressive skills and determination to succeed, Hughes is poised to become a dominant force in the NHL for many years to come.
