Banks's early career began in the independent wrestling league, Chaotic Wrestling, where she adopted the ring name, Mercedes KV. She quickly made a name for herself with her skills as a high-flyer and her signature moves like the "Bankrupt" and "Bank Statement." Banks joined WWE's NXT division in 2012, quickly rose through the ranks, and secured a spot on the main roster in 2015. Since then, she has become a staple on WWE's programming, known for her impressive athleticism, charisma, and signature purple hair.

Banks has made history several times in her WWE career. In 2016, she and Charlotte Flair became the first female wrestlers to main event Raw.
