Adam Everett Autographs
Adam Everett was born on February 5, 1977, in Austell, Georgia. He was a talented baseball player who played shortstop in high school and college. He was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the first round of the 1998 Major League Baseball draft, but he did not sign with them, instead opting to play at the University of South Carolina.
In 2000, he was drafted by the Houston Astros in the first round of the draft, and he made his Major League debut with them on June 30, 2001. He quickly became known for his slick fielding and strong arm, earning Gold Glove awards in 2005 and 2006. Although he was never a prolific hitter, he was a valuable defensive player, helping his team in key situations. Everett played for the Astros until 2007, when he was traded to the Minnesota Twins. He also played for the Detroit Tigers before retiring in 2011. Over the course of his career, he had a .242 batting average, 40 home runs, and 283 runs batted in.
After his playing career, Everett became a coach and instructor, working with high school and college players. He also served as a special assistant to the general manager of the Astros. His legacy as a player is one of excellence in the field, as his abilities as a shortstop were highly respected by fans and players alike. Despite not being known for his hitting, his defensive prowess and leadership on the field make him a notable figure in the history of baseball.
