Akil Baddoo is a young and talented baseball player who was born on August 16, 1998, in Silver Spring, Maryland. He attended Salem High School in Georgia, where he was a star on the baseball team. After graduating, he was selected by the Minnesota Twins in the second round of the 2016 MLB draft. He signed with the organization and began his professional career in the minor leagues. Baddoo spent four seasons in the minor leagues, playing for various Twins affiliates. He showed great promise at every level, hitting for average and power, stealing bases, and playing stellar defense in the outfield. In 2020, he was invited to the Twins' alternate training site, where he continued to impress the coaches and scouts with his skills.
