Al Rosen Autographs
Albert Leonard Rosen, popularly known as Al Rosen, was born on February 29, 1924, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He rose to fame as an American professional baseball third baseman and right fielder. Rosen played for ten seasons with the Cleveland Indians and one year with the New York Yankees.
Rosen was best known for his powerful hitting abilities, earning him the American League's (AL) MVP trophy in 1953. He finished the season with a .336 batting average, 43 home runs, and 145 RBI, and leading the Cleveland Indians to the World Series. His performance in the postseason was magnificent, hitting 4 home runs, 9 RBI's, and a batting average of .333 throughout the series.
In 1978, Rosen was ultimately inducted into the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame, followed by the Cleveland Indians Hall of Fame in 2006.\nHe was a four-time All-Star, and two-time AL home run leader. Although he retired from baseball for more than six decades now, Rosen's brilliant career and contributions to the sport will forever be remembered.
