Alex Blandino Autographs
Alex Blandino was born on November 6, 1992, in New York City. He attended St. Francis High School in Mountain View, California, where he excelled in both baseball and football. After graduating in 2011, he decided to pursue a career in baseball and enrolled at Stanford University. He played for the Stanford Cardinal baseball team from 2012 to 2014 and was named a first-team All-American in his junior year.
In 2014, Alex was drafted in the first round (29th overall) by the Cincinnati Reds. He made his professional debut for the Dayton Dragons, the Reds' Class A affiliate, in 2015. He slowly worked his way up the minor league system, playing for the Pensacola Blue Wahoos and the Louisville Bats. Alex made his major league debut on April 5, 2018, against the Washington Nationals. Although he only played in 21 games that season, he made quite an impression by hitting his first major league home run in a game against the Chicago Cubs.
Alex's progression up the minor league ladder was indicative of his determination and hard work. He displayed versatility at multiple positions, playing second base, shortstop, and third base. His batting average improved steadily, and he became known for his ability to get on base consistently. Alex is currently signed to a minor league contract with the San Francisco Giants organization and was assigned to their Triple-A affiliate, the Sacramento River Cats, for the 2021 season. Despite his setbacks, he remains one of the most promising prospects in baseball and is expected to eventually have a long, successful career in the major leagues.
