Alex Cole Autographs

Alex Cole was born on August 17, 1965, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He began his baseball career in high school as a standout outfielder for Terry Sanford High School. His speed and defensive abilities caught the attention of scouts, and he was drafted in the third round of the 1985 Major League Baseball Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals.
Cole made his major league debut with the Cardinals in 1990, playing in 36 games and hitting .239 with seven stolen bases. However, he found more success in his following seasons with the Cleveland Indians, where he became a regular starter in center field. In 1992, Cole had his best season, hitting .300 with 40 stolen bases and a league-leading 15 triples. His speed and base-running abilities made him a valuable asset for the Indians, and he was known for his aggressive style on the basepaths.
Cole played for several other teams throughout his career, including the Pittsburgh Pirates, Colorado Rockies, and Toronto Blue Jays. He retired in 1996 with a career batting average of .262 and 183 stolen bases. In addition to his baseball career, Cole also briefly played in the NFL for the Miami Dolphins as a kick returner in 1988.
