Allan Anderson Autographs
Allan Anderson is a former Major League Baseball pitcher, born on January 13, 1964, in Lancaster, California. He attended Lancaster High School where he excelled in both baseball and football. However, he decided to pursue a career in baseball and was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the second round of the 1982 MLB draft.
Anderson made his major league debut for the Twins in 1986 and quickly established himself as a reliable left-handed starter. He was an integral part of the Twins' pitching rotation for seven seasons, from 1986 to 1992. During that time, he won 62 games, struck out 603 batters, and posted an ERA of 4.18. His best season came in 1988 when he went 16-9 with a 2.45 ERA and finished fifth in the American League Cy Young Award voting.
Anderson's baseball career was cut short by injuries, and he retired in 1995 at the age of 31. He finished his career with a 74-68 record and a 4.18 ERA. Although he never played in an All-Star game or won any major awards, Anderson was known for his consistency and work ethic. He was a fan favorite and was respected by his teammates and opponents alike for his professionalism both on and off the field.
