Allan Dykstra Autographs
Allan Dykstra is a former American professional baseball player who is best known for his time playing in the minor and major leagues. Dykstra was born in 1987 in San Diego, California, and attended Rancho Bernardo High School where he was a standout baseball player. He then went on to attend Wake Forest University where he played college baseball for the Demon Deacons.
Dykstra was selected by the San Diego Padres in the first round of the 2008 MLB Draft and began his professional career in their minor league system. He spent several seasons playing for the Padres' affiliates before being traded to the New York Mets in 2011. Dykstra continued to play in the minor leagues for the Mets before finally making his major league debut in 2015. Dykstra played in just one game for the Mets before being released later that season and eventually retiring from baseball in 2017.
Throughout his career, Dykstra was known for his power-hitting ability, which earned him recognition as one of the top prospects in the Padres' system. He was also known for his patient approach at the plate, which resulted in a high on-base percentage.
