Amos Otis is a former professional baseball player who was born on April 26, 1947, in Mobile, Alabama. Otis is renowned for his 17-year career as a center fielder for the Kansas City Royals. He began his professional career with the New York Mets in 1967 but was soon traded to the Kansas City Royals, where he spent the bulk of his career.
