Bob Bailey Autographs
Bob Bailey is a former professional baseball player who played in the Major Leagues for 17 seasons from 1962 to 1978. He was born on October 13, 1942, in Long Beach, California. Bailey began his career as a third baseman with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1962, and he quickly became a solid contributor to the team. Over his career, he played for six different teams, including the Montreal Expos, Cincinnati Reds, and Boston Red Sox.
Throughout his career, Bailey was known for his versatility on the field. He played multiple positions, including third base, first base, outfield, and catcher, which made him a valuable asset to any team. Bailey was also a solid hitter, with a career batting average of .257 and 189 home runs. In 1970, he had one of his best seasons, hitting .287 with 28 home runs and 86 RBIs while playing for the Montreal Expos.
After retiring from baseball, Bailey remained involved in the sport as a coach and scout. He served as a coach for the Toronto Blue Jays and the Seattle Mariners and worked as a scout for the Los Angeles Dodgers. In recognition of his contributions to baseball, Bailey was inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in 1996. Today, he is remembered as a versatile and skilled player who made significant contributions to the sport over his long career.
