Bob Bailor, born on September Bailor began his professional baseball career after being selected in the sixth round of the 1972 Major League Baseball draft by the Baltimore Orioles. He debuted in the Orioles team in 1975 after a few minor league seasons but after that, he spent eight seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays, from 1977 to 1985, where he truly made a name for himself. Bailor was a versatile player, primarily playing infield throughout his career but also playing outfield when needed. During his years with the Blue Jays, he was known for his sharp batting, playing in over 150 games in every season from 1978 to 1982. He remained a consistent hitter, with a career .293 batting average from 1977 to 1985.

Following his retirement from professional baseball in 1986, Bailor went on to coach baseball in the minor leagues before retiring in 2012.
