Bob Carpenter is a former professional hockey player who was born on July 13, 1963, in Beverly, Massachusetts. He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for 18 seasons, representing five different teams, and played predominantly as a centre. Carpenter's hockey career began in the early 1980s when he was drafted third overall by the Washington Capitals in 1981 NHL Entry Draft.
